"Space Blaster" VR Game

"Space Blaster" is a game I made for one of my Game Tech classes. It is a VR game built in Unreal Engine 4. It features a device connected to the player's arm that allows them to push and pull objects in space, health bars, a damage system for asteroids, and more.

Below are the blueprints I made that activate the "arm cannon / blaster" to pickup and move the asteroids. The blaster fires a line trace and creates a physics handle on the hit object. You then can move the asteroid around with physics applied and throw them into things from a distance. Alternatively, you can shoot them with the "push" or "pull" beam to do the corresponding action without having it attached. You then control their movement direction by pointing the blaster in the direction you want it to travel.

These blueprints are what allows you to re-gain your ever draining air reserves as well as recharge them. When you successfully find a piece of lost cargo, you can put it in your ship and start regenerating your air reserves.
